There is so much history surrounding it, it is such a beautiful part of the city. Also the food was really great too, it was easily the best place we ate the entire week and I can’t wait to go back! We also got to drive around Laurel Canyon earlier in the week and it’s another one of my favorite parts of the city too. "Beechwood is one of my favorite breakfast places because they serve wholesome food and serve everything is always fresh."

My food was cooked perfectly and exceeded my expectations. This was our first meal here—server was extremely friendly and gave us a tour of the space. Our journey began in the early seventies (1974), when Heck’s decided to share their passion for food. Into the heart of Hollywoodland, straight up Beachwood Canyon, right at the spot where the locals start to get angry at visitors who stop to gawk at the famous sign just above, the Village Coffee Shop was working Hollywood’s neighborhood restaurant, with the kind of country wood interior you see in Iowa gift shops and a menu of pancakes, omelets and salisbury steaks that you could think of as charmingly retro when you weren’t contemplating some better food all the way down the hill.
